WORKSHOPS & INTENSIVES

Build skill fast, with more access to high-level instruction.

Workshops let you work intensively on specific things — so your skill takes a real jump in a short period of time. You get more access to the instructor, so you can feel what's actually going on and then work on it. You train with partners and in groups, with people who love this as much as you do.

And honestly — the environment is half of it. Workshops are always great. You go home recharged, motivated, and more inspired to keep going with your practice.

Train with Master Richard Huang

I organise the European workshops for my Sifu, Richard Huang — a chance to train directly with a master of the Huang Sheng-shyan lineage without flying to Taiwan.

This kind of Tai Chi has to be felt. I remember watching the videos before I ever trained with him, thinking what I was seeing was almost impossible. Then you get in the room, you feel it from him — and you know it's real. And he doesn't just show you: he teaches you how it works, so you can feel it in your own hands and know what you're building towards.

If you've been doing Tai Chi for years, this is the workshop that shows you where the road actually leads — and how to adapt your practice to start building towards it. If you're new, there's no better first experience than feeling what real internal Tai Chi is from day one. Everyone trains together, and everyone's welcome.

The workshops follow a simple pattern: Sifu explains the theory, then you feel it — hands-on, so it's clear it works. Then you practise it, in positions and postures, with a lot of personal correction. It's not just Sifu in the room either: his senior instructor Roger is always there, and several of us indoor students train alongside, so the hands-on attention goes deep. You go home with practical drills to keep building the skill.

He's coming to Europe in March 2027. The plan:

— A 2 day weekend workshop near Barcelona

— A 2 day weekend workshop near Amsterdam

— A 2 day weekend workshop near Paris

— A four-day intensive — location coming soonhere

Final dates and details are being confirmed now. Places are limited on all of them — the mailing list hears first, before anything is announced publicly.

Tai Chi, Qigong & Nei Gong: the internal work.

Every so often I run introductory workshops on Tai Chi and Qi Gong as well as more advanced workshops on the internal side of the practice — breath, structure, and the cultivation work that sits underneath Tai Chi. They run in different towns around the area, and they're open to complete beginners as well as experienced students.

Somatics: teach your body to let go.

Chronic tension isn't a hardware problem — it's software. Somatics works directly with the nervous system, using slow, precise movements to release muscles that have forgotten how to relax. It's quiet work, and the results tend to surprise people.

Neck & Shoulders Workshop

For the tension that builds up from desks, screens, stress and old habits. You learn to release what's gripping, and how to keep it released.

Hips and Lower Back Workshop

For the stiffness and pain that creeps in from sitting, and the compensations your body's been making for years.

Each workshop stands on its own — you don't need to have done anything before. You leave with a set of movements you can do at home in minutes a day, and a handout so nothing gets forgotten.

There's also a weekly Somatics class — Wednesdays at 19:30 at Bodhi Health & Studio. Small group, capped at eight people, €15 per session.

Workshops are announced first by email.

Dates, locations and early places go to the list before anywhere else. That's it — no noise, no spam.
